I agree Katherine....I will still do my best to keep this list "on topic"
and I really don't want people announcing every new virus that comes down
the pike....but when it comes to serious security updates from Microsoft, as
you can see, I never pop in and yell "this is off topic"...becuz I agree
that people need to be warned about this stuff

Greg, you seem a little concerned about seeming to be off topic.  I don't
use the affected operating system (as you know) but I am thrilled to be
notified by you through this list about the security vulnerabilities of
Windows, as I'm in the address books of lots of people who do use Windows!
I have forwarded your alerts on to people I care about and I am thankful for
it.  Most folks don't go to the microsoft website very often, and that's
part of why security alerts seem to be ignored and vulnerabilities remain.

You are doing a service, and PLEASE don't stop.  We NEED to change the
culture vis a vis security, and you are a vanguard in that fight.  And...I
got your back!
