The date field that you've used is just the standard (current) date
field. You need to use the CREATEDATE field. Click Insert/Field and
select the date group. Click on the create date field, then click the ?
Question mark button on the top/right of the dialog...then click on the
same field you have selected again and the help files will open and
explain details of that, or any other fields you choose to explore.

Subject: [mso] Word changing dates

Hi everyone,

One of my co-workers is having a major problem with word. Everytime she

views one of the memo's or letters she has saved in word, the date
changes to
whatever date it is. For instance if she wrote the letter/memo in May
2002,
if she views it today it will change the date to Septemeber 18th, 2002.

We've looked everywhere for an answer and so far no one has been able to
help
us.

thank you so much in advance

Tati
