[mso] Re: Word Merge +Graphic Signature

Forgot to mention that the merge is not from an excel worksheet and
there's no way to add a field to the data.=20

The data and the merge happen via our web-based service. We can put
pointers or VBA or macros into the main document but can't add a field
to the data source.=20

You mean to say, Glenda, that the letters aren't all personally signed
by the managers?

Tush! And Pish tush!

However, it seemed to me that the passage you quoted contained the
answer:

If your data document contains, in one field, a path to the appropriate
manager's *pseudo-signature* as a .gif or .jpg ... that is, fields for:

Name, Address ..., Manager, SigLocation, &c

Then the appropriate mergefield would be:

{INCLUDEPICTURE "{MERGEFIELD SigLocation}" \d}

and for each successive record you will get the appropriate signature
...
and your managers will not suffer from writer's cramp ;)

This is the way I read the article ... I hope it helps.
