Lisa, The document I am editing is a technical specification for an automotive component. The types of acronyms I am looking to find are for instance "GPS"(which stands for Global Positioning System). The unfortunate thing is that the only characteristic of the items I'm looking for is that there are at least 2 captial letters side by side. The other bad thing is that there are heading styles that use this type of formatting that I would not want as part of the returned list. So I guess another characteristic is that the text should not be a heading style. Someone (Ray Blake) suggested using the Font, All Caps identifier in the Find dialog. That doesn't work because the font has to be identified as All Caps as part of its style. None of the acronyms I'm trying to find have that characteristic. Thanks, Tony >From: "Green" <1z@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Reply-To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: <mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> >Subject: [mso] Re: Word Macro to create list of acronyms>Date: Mon, 23 Aug 2004 16:34:28 +0200 >>Hey Tony... >>Can you give an example of some of the acronyms you want to capture? >Are there any distinguishing features like all capitols or surrounding >brackets or anything? >>Lisa >>> Hello All, I am struggling with developing a method to >>create a list of >>acronyms used in a document.
