tried that first linda. when you look at the blank page, the cursor is
all the way at the top of the screen, even in normal or print view. it
almost looks like the document opened up in web layout which the look
should change if one changes the view but it doesn't...i mean the view
changes but the cursor remains at the very top. the only thing that gets
the cursor into the body is to view header then close the header. weird,
huh? /g

It's probably something in normal.dot...open normal.dot, get the cursor
out of the header and type one letter in the body, then delete that
letter, then save normal.dot...that should fix it

Or, If he doesn't have any custom toolbars, macros, autocorrects, etc.,
just close Word and delete normal.dot...open Word and it will make a new
one

My boss has an interesting problem. He doesn't know what he did but
here's the thing:

Every time he opens a new document in Word 03, the cursor is in the
header. In order to get the cursor to the body of the document, he has
to View/Header then close the header.

Anyone know what this might be about?

Currently, his wants to reinstall Word but shouldn't have to do that
right?

/g
