With older versions of PP, I think you can export your slides as JPEGs
and then put those manually into HTML pages.

Okay, anyone is welcome to correct me if I am wrong! I am unaware of
anyway to upload your presentation directly to a WebTV unit . . .
however I think you are on the right track to upload this to your
website. If you are running a later version of PPT, all you need to do
is SAVE AS WEB PAGE, and then upload the file to your web server. He
could then view that using WebTV I am thinking . . . it may lose some of
its bells and whistles, depending on how many you have.

I am sure there is a way to do this with older versions of PowerPoint
('97 or prior), but am nut aware of how.

Yes, there is a Free PowerPoint Viewer through the MS Website, but again
I'm thinking there is no way to load it onto the WebTV unit - unless
someone else knows how as I have limited experience with it.

Subject: [mso] View PowerPoint on WebTV

Hi All,

Is it possible to view a PowerPoint presentation using WebTV?

I am receiving images plus text for captions from an elderly gentleman,
and I
am using them to make a PP presentation for him to deliver at a meeting.
The
meeting hall is equipped with plenty of computer power, but the
gentleman has
only a WebTV box. I will visit the guy before the meeting to demo the
finished product on my laptop PC, but it would be very useful if I could
send
him intermediate results for him to view on his WebTV unit.

I could send the presentation to the man as an attachment to an email,
but I
know he doesn't have the PP application program. Is there such a thing
as a
PP reader? Could it be installed in a WebTV device?

If either answer is no, is there a way in which I could upload the
presentation to my website that would be viewable for him?

Thanks for the advice.

Ray Shapp
