There sure is, Ann...it's absolutely one of my favorite things about ALL
of the Office 2002 programs

Here's how you do it:

Go to File>Save As.....when the Save As box comes up, look up near the
top right of it and you will see a little button that says Tools....now,
find the folder that you want to add and click on it once to select it,
then click on this Tools button and choose "Add to My Places"

Another cool thing is you can also change the order of these
icons....just right click on any one of them and choose "move Up or Move
Down

People with Office 2000 can customize their Places Bar too, but it
requires an add-in that you can get here:

Subject: [mso] The save option in Word 2002

Hi all

I have Word 2002.
When I select "save" the save box opens up and along the side are icon
buttons for shortcuts to certain folders. Is there a way to add a
shortcut
to the save box to a specific folder to save documents too? I end up
opening up folder after folder to get to my data folder where I want my
data
to be in.
Thanks

Ann
