What's weird is I just went and checked ignore other applications and then double clicked on an Excel file and it indeed did open Excel, but opened it empty and this I HAVE seen many times and know this fixes it....but I never saw it cause the error about not being able to find the path, so that's what threw me Glad you got it fixed.
