Hi Robert,
it's in the Excel VBA help, because it's a VBA function; open the VB Editor 
in Excel using <alt><F11> then goto the Help menu; when the help window 
opens, select the "answer wizard" tab, type instrrev  in the search box and 
click the "search" button.
