Oh cool! I KNEW there had to be another shortcut hound out there like me!<g>
Thanks much. I'm not sure I understand all these moves cos' I don't know
what all the stuff in Excel is called yet. So I'll mess around with these
instructions and stick the post-its on the ol' monitor for the ones I'll
need to learn...and will be back for any I can't get to work.

REALLY appreciate it!

Hi Dian,

My quickest way is backwards... literally :-)

1) Go to X28 by typing X28 in the drop down on the far left at the top
of the sheet... that is overtype the A1 with X28 and press return.

2) Press Ctrl+Shift+Home.

Same thing works for a block but don't hold down the Ctrl key.

1) Type C3 in the drop down and press return
2) Type X28 in the drop down *then* shift and press return.

... will select C3 to X28.

Same thing with the END key.

1) Go to a cell by typing in the drop down and pressing return.
2) Press End
3) Hold down the shift key and press an arrow key to go to the END of
that range.

ere the end of the range is the first empty cell along that row or up
or down the column.

The key... pun not intended... is to hold the shift key when you move
around.

Ctrl Hhome goes to the top same as all the other applications
Home goes to the begining of the row.
Page up and down are page up and down... suprise!!
... etc

I think that backwards trick is nice though... and I've used it in
otther programs as well.

HTH

Lisa
