Open the sheet....go to the Name box up on your toolbar...the one that shows
the cell name
Type in there A1:X28 and hit enter and that range will be selected

Hi folks...
She's at it again with Excel!<g>
There MUST be a keyboard way to more easily select a range of text, versus
always having to use the mouse to try to scroll/drag around to select an
area...anyone know for sure and how? I'm in Excel 2000.
What I mean is...say I open a sheet and default into A1. Can I just hit some
keys to cause it to select all the way from A1 to X28?
I know F8 is the ExtendSelection key...to turn on "blocking" (Selection) in
Word and I see that is the same in Excel. So in Word, I can hit say a
question mark or some other keys...and then move to that location to select
the area in question...like the period twice to go to the second period,
etc.
I assume there's some way to turn on EXT and hit some keys to GoTo a
specific cell and thereby select all that area so I can then just hit Ctrl/C
to copy blah, blah, blah.
