I don't see any problem with using Outlook 2002 if the rest of your =
Office
apps are 2000. However, the one thing I have never tried is using Word =
as
my email editor in Outlook if the versions are different, becuz I'm not =
a
fan of using Word as my email editor anyway. So, if someone knows if =
this
is a problem, they will have to let you know.
However, I do agree that Outlook 2002 (with all the service packs) is =
better
than Outlook 2000.

I just purchased a new Pocket PC - iPAQ 2215 which runs Outlook 2002. =
The
CD that came with it to set up the Active Synch tells you the first =
thing to
do is install Outlook 2002 which is included on the CD. However, my =
desktop
uses Office 2000. The instructions do go on to say:
If you don't have Microsoft Outlook 98 or later installed, please =
install
Microsoft Outlook 2002 now. Even if you have Outlook 98 or Outlook 2000
installed, you are encouraged to upgrade to Outlook 2002.
I've written a separate note to HP support about what problems I might =
have
on the iPAQ side if I don't install Outlook 2002. My question for this
group is whether installing Outlook 2002 on my desktop would be a =
problem on
the desktop side if the rest of the Office applications remain 2000
versions.
Any help would be appreciated.
