Ok..looks like I'm having email problems with this group again *sigh*...so
I'm resending this, and a couple others I've replied to, from my personal

You have to create a template

Open a blank workbook and turn on the gridlines for printing. Then save this
workbook AS A TEMPLATE (*.xlt)

Now you can leave it in the default template directory where Excel wants to
put it and name it something like gridlines.xlt and then you can access it
whenever you want to use it, by going to the File menu and selecting New
(instead of open) and select this template

But, if you really want it to be the default template for all new Excel
files, search your hard drive for a folder called XLStart and put this
template inside this folder...and you MUST name it Book.xlt or Excel won't
use it by default...then all of the new files you create will be based on
this template and will print gridlines

Subject: [mso] Print Excel gridlines by default?

Does anyone know how I can print gridlines in Excel by default (without
having to turn them on every time)?

Thanks,

Mark
