Thank you and Kathryn Jacobs for the quick replies. The links have been helpful. My suspicion is confirmed that they can't be embedded, which is highly disappointing. The end users won't be on my server, they don't have access to mine, I don't have access to theirs, the presentation will be sent via email. Maybe could figure out how to bundle movies and presentation so they will unzip together per recommendations, to a certain folder on their system, but that's out of my knowledge. Anyone know how to create a batch file that will unzip to specific locations or some variation of that idea? I am also experimenting with creating a web version of the presentation to see if that resolves problem and behaves the way I want it to, but haven't had a chance to test it on another machine yet. Otherwise will go back to plan "B" of pasting separate pictures instead of movies. Appreciate the help/advice very much, thanks, Cathy "TAJ Simmons - awesome powerpoint backgrounds" To: <mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> <awesome@powerpointbackg rounds.com> cc: Sent by: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] Re: PowerPoint 2002: Inserted Movie 05/05/2004 04:37 PM File Location Please respond to mso ..... Cathy, >Used the insert movies and sound menu and set it to automatically play. This is good. Video clips are *always* linked, never embedded. To get around the paths/folders being different on different PCs put your movie file in the same folder as your .ppt before you insert the video clip. See this page for more details (Particularly the "movies and sounds" section..beginning "Pick (or create"...")) http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm Cheers TAJ Simmons microsoft powerpoint mvp awesome - powerpoint backgrounds, free powerpoint templates, tutorials, hints and tips etc http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com > > I am inserting some .wmv movies into a powerpoint presentation.
