How about using Category rather than Flag. After selecting the Tools/Rules and alerts drop-down menu, under step 1 there is an option to assign a category to the rule. The Category column can be dragged and dropped anywhere on the header line of the mailbox window. Hope that helps. BTW I'm surprised you don't seem to be able to specify a colour for emails from a specific person ;( Geoff Culbertson Petersfield, Hampshire, UK -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yurt Ng Sent: 05 January 2010 05:16 To: MS Office Subject: [mso] Outlook 2003 question Hi, I recently changed to Outlook 2003 (SP3) for my email client. I'm trying to duplicate as closely as possible the 'look' of my inbox page with what I previously had when using Outlook Express. One of the things Outlook Express allowed that Outlook 2003 apparently doesn't is the ability to color code inbound emails using rules. I am using colored flags in Outlook to try to achieve the same thing but I can't figure out how to move the 'Sort by Flag Status' from the far right hand column of the inbox to the far left hand column of the inbox - which is where I would like it. Any ideas? Thanks, Yurt Ng ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu at the top.
