I have Office 97 Professional Upgrade and I looked at
the CD and nowhere can I find that it says it is an
upgrade although I know it is. When I installed it on
my "new" PC, I did not want to go back and install
Office 4.3 (or whatever the previous version was
called) so I was able to install Office 97 from scratch
by hitting escape (or some similar key) when it had
problems locating the previous version. Thus, I was
able to get around the fact that I did not have the
previous version installed. Of course this was all
legal, since I do have both licensed versions.
I am using W98SE.
