>I don't mean to reply for Dian, but this REALLY sounds like an Access project to me and Dian is more of a Word guru (tho she certainly knows Access too)...I'm not saying this can't be done in Word cuz I really don't know, but there are some Access/Excel people in here who also might want to take a crack at this Sorry...just saw this after I posted my previous answer. And just as an FYI...this is PERFECT for Word. And...to clarify...no I don't know Access all that well when it comes to using the Access Interface to build DBs and set all the bells and whistles for Access forms, digital desktops, etc...but I DO KNOW ACCESS quite well as a backend DB and use Access/SQL dbs all the time and have for many years. I just use them in their raw scheme version and manipulate the data the way I want for my purposes in Word reports...versus writing Access VBA or macros to do it inside Word. Just as Greg can build all these cool Word utilities for us, but doesn't quite understand how to edit a style...I can make Access dance anyway I want...I just do it through Word/VBA/ADO versus the way the average person would by setting default table layouts in the Access GUI. ;-) Oh...and Word is MUCH COOLER for this stuff than Excel!<g> Cos' you get a neat looking Word report document with cool styles...versus an Excel data sheet report. There are Access instructors in this group also...not me..but James La Borde, for one...and I'm sure there are others. Linda F.
