Hi Vickie....I know this is a major pain in the butt....Microsoft did
NOT do a good job of making Publisher 2002 backward compatible (same
with PowerPoint 2002). I'm not that big of a Publisher user so I don't
know if there is a way to preserve the formatting you want to preserve
when you save it down to previous versions.

The only thing I can suggest is this...this is the best Publisher
website I know of.....it's run by Publisher MVPs and if anyone is going
to be able to help you with this, it would be these people...so this is
where I would check if it were me:

Good luck...and if you DO find the answers you are looking for, I hope
you will come back here and share them with us.

Subject: [mso] MS Publisher 2002 question

I recently upgraded my MS Publisher 2000 to 2002 but my local CopyMax
has
not seen fit to do so. There is a feature to save files in Publisher
2000
format but when I do so I lose column defintion, tabs and text box
padding
values. This loss is not mentioned in Help section defining items not
saveable. Can anyone tell me what is happing?
