No Richard, it did not.

Your original message had

> I would think it would be >750 <800 - but that does not work.

Your later message had

> Do I type ">=800 and <=750"   Without the ""

As you can see, you had things back the front in this and were asking the
computer to check for an impossibility.

I pointed the above problem out and told you what I suspected you needed to
use. (There was nothing unfriendly about this.)

I then asked you to give us a reasonable amount of information in describing
your problem so that perhaps we would have a chance of working out where you
were going wrong.

> Thanks for your friendly response (not so)

If you think that my request for reasonable information was unfriendly, then
you are (1) wrong, and (2) asking for people to start ignoring your
questions.

Please take the same amount of time in composing your messages and reading
the replies as you would expect us to take in thinking about and answering
your problem.

I notice that your tag line says that you are a (presumably senior) manager.
As such, you should be used to (1) describing situations in enough detail so
that others can understand what is actually going on, and (2) reading
correspondence carefully before replying to avoid giving incorrect
responses. Please grant us the same courtesies you would your colleagues
and customers.

Might I recommend you read the excellent article
http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html before asking future
questions.

Regards, Dave S

PS You can quite reasonably interpret that THIS REPLY is not friendly.
