[mso] Re: MS Access 2003 - automating a data export - Thanks Tommy!

The light turned on - I got it Tommy - thanks. With a yes/no field
added, my routine exports all records set as false then a second pass to
set all records to yes. I knew I was going to go Duh!

Thanks again,
Allan F. Eddy

Thank you Tommy but with this method wouldn't I need to manually check
each record after it was exported? How could I get a routine or macro
to flip the no to yes automatically at time of export or before exiting?

Allan

One could add yes/no Boolean field to the table, and when exporting
check as
exported. Use a query whereby selects all where "Exported=3D3Dfalse"

When you export it, and looping through all the records, then simply set
it
to true so the next time the query "eliminates" those.=3D20

Subject: [mso] MS Access 2003 - automating a data export - pointers?

I need to automatically export only recently entered records from a
single
table Access database without exporting records which have been
previously
exported. Is there a way to "flag" records as having already been
exported?
Basically I want to automatically retrieve records that an operator has
entered on the previous workweek day. Due to weekends, holidays, etc. I
don't see how I can use any calendar driven scheme for the export. I am
experienced in Access and have working knowledge of VBA but cannot seem
to
get the light bulb to turn on in my head about the best way to do it. Is
there a VBA function or routine or any macro available in Access? I
welcome
any and all suggestions and I'm sure I'm going to go "Duh" when you guys
point out the solution. My little brain is simply not working on this
one.

Thanks in advance
