You can see if this is the problem by kicking down the hardware accelerator or application boost, to take up less resources and give your video driver a little more resources to work. Depending on the operating system you're using, go to the control panel/System/Performance. There you'll find either the Graphics hardware accelerator or the application boost. If you're on 9x, it'll be the graphic slide, kick it down two marks. If on an NT+ system, kick the app boost down one. Then reboot and see if it stops. If it does, go to your video driver manufacturer web site and download an updated video driver. You can read details of this test at www.mousetrax.com/maintain.html.
