Yes I am using a scroll mouse - will try your suggestion. It is strange that
the problem occurs only sometimes and not all the time.

Hi Ian....are you by any chance using a scroll mouse? I find this
happens to me in Outlook occasionally and the only way I can stop it is
to push down on the center scroll button and that stops it

Sometimes in outlook while trying to open messages in my inbox the page
jumps and I cannot click on the message that I want, it will do this
three or four times before stopping to allow me put my mouse where I
want to. Any ideas what is causing this? It also happens in Excel.
