I think Works Word Processor does this. Is he using Works and not Word?

OK..here's a good one...one of my Word 101 online students has this
problem and I have never heard of this before, so I wanted to see if
anyone in here has ever seen something like this...
His font dropdown list on his toolbar shows the name of the font he is
using...but when he highlights text in the document, the actual text
shows in the font box instead of the font name.
I told him to do a Detect and Repair...but, other than that, I'm not
sure where to go with this one....has anyone ever seen this behavior cuz
I sure haven't?
