Diane,

Your system was fine until you clicked for Rich Text (that is different
from HTML). Now you get the standard winmail.dat file characteric of RTF
from Outlook. Here's what the list server stripped from your message:

-- Binary/unsupported file stripped by Ecartis --
-- Type: application/ms-tnef
-- File: winmail.dat

To turn off HTML as the default, go to Tools, Options, Mail Format and
choose Plain Text Only. Click OK till you get the dialogs closed.

Neil's message is another situation altogether. His system appears to be
set for English Australian which is just fine. However, that's localized
enough that some of the formatting conversion between Outlook and the
list server is causing some untranslated characters. =20 is a space, for
instance, and the =D3, etc., are hex values that were not translated.

With thinking this clear, is coding really a good idea?"
