In which case it's probably a Windows issue - association of files. If you open Explorer, choose Tools > Folder Options > File types locate Word files and see what they are associated with. If that's all good, then it sounds like a corrupt icon cache - but that takes us out of the realm of this list... If so, what happens if you open that attachment (before sending it)? = Does it open in Word or Notepad? If Notepad, does it appear as plain text, or does it have all sorts of formatting in it? This may be a Windows issue rather than Office. ____________________________________ Neil Atwood - Sydney, Australia -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On = Behalf Of Justin Hughes Sent: Thursday, 17 June 2004 11:57 AM To: mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [mso] FW: re word =20 =20 =20 =20 Hi=20 Every one, word does not seem to work in Outlook xp, I have it as mr = editor, but when I go look for a doc that I want to attach it is not in the word format but a text format I guess you call it has the notebook next to = it.
