True the program files can be transported to another machine but would not
run on another machine.
The question was not if Office on a memory stick could be run on any
computer. Rather can the program be installed on a memory stick. I say yes
it can, but will only run on the Windows system that the registry files will
match the install.

Correct. My error.

I thought the original motivation to the original question, the question
behind the question, if you will, was whether a memory stick could be used
to allow the programs to be run on different computers.

I was wrong.
