Thanks for that - ideally I would be able to change the data in word or however else, but I don't have control over it (its from an external database), and my database needs to know when it is changes. However, using a combination of the Proper(x) function, and messing about with the instr and right functions (similar to the trimspace function posted here) my report looks as it should.
