3rd attemped! sorry for the spam!

Thanks for that - ideally I would be able to change the data in word or
however else, but I don't have control over it (its from an external
database), and my database needs to know when it is changes.

However, using a combination of the Proper(x) function, and messing about
with the instr and right functions (similar to the trimspace function
posted here) my report looks as it should.

Wouldn't it be easier to bring the information into a word table, select =
the text and choose Format, Change Case, Title Case? This would involve =
many easy steps. Not to sound obnoxious but it would have been better to =
create two fields, firstname and lastname and you might want to take the =
time to do that now.

PS. I am a newbie here so please excuse any fumbles. (-;
