Christine,

I am a little more of a Power User, but I like the Running ... series. The
Access version for 2000 is by John Viescas and is very good. I am not sure
about the 2002 version. The Bible series of books is also pretty good for
their Access books. For your users a very good option may be the Using ...
Special Edition. I've used all of these at one time or another for different
versions of Access. There is one that I know of that I would recommend
steering clear of: Microsoft Access ##, Answers!. It is a complete waste of
money.

James

Subject: [mso] Access Books :VSMail mx3

I'm looking to purchase an Access 2002 book for the office as a
reference. No one here is a power user, we have a mix of beginners and
intermediate level and we do a mixture of creating databases from
scratch and using Access to review data from other systems, particular
large accounting system. We probably do more of the second work than
the first.
So, I've been perusing the books over on Amazon and we want more of a
reference guide than a training book, so it looks like it might be one
of the following 2 books.

Access 2002: The Complete Reference (Book and CD) and
Microsoft Access Version 2002 Inside Out (with CD ROM)

The Microsoft Access Version 2002 Core Reference appears to be a little
advanced for what we want.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these books or can
suggest another choice?

Thanks,
