this is what I remember Ray I just don't remember it being so complex
looking.

here's my situation. I have ODBC tables all connected to the same source
DB and I have the individual worksheets in the Excel workbook that is
refreshed daily.

I could probably get by with not having the ODBC tables refresh but
definitely need the linked worksheet tables updated.

there's no front end or back end to this thing so no worries in that
regard.

would you recommend I try to chop this code up to fit what I'm doing?

Is there a way to automatically refresh linked tables?  I have a DB
linked to an Excel worksheet that is updated daily. I need the DB to
reflect the current data so I use the linked table manager but I'd like
