Frankly, I think with those, it's sometimes a chicken and egg situation. I
had an infected tooth and it caused a sinus flare up too.
If you already have someone to do the extraction, cool. Depending on where
it is, they will probably pack the socket with gauze. You can eat as long as
your careful and try not to eat where the tooth was until the gum has a chance
to heal.
OI have a cool situation. My dentist is in downtown Lansing right on the bus
line; and he works with a periodontist that is a half block away. So, when I
needed a tooth out, he said "Just go to Tony." Tony is Dr. Spagnulo who is the
periodontist; I had gum surgery with him before and a tooth extraction which
was completely painless. I ended up getting an implant for the area on the
upper right side where I had two teeth extracted.

Well, I went to the Dentist today because I have a infected tooth that needs
to come out. He gave me five shots and the laughing gas. Guess what, it didn't
work. I got a little numb but, not much. He poked my tongue and ask me to tell
him if I felt a sharp poke and a dull one. I said yes to each one. He said,
well I can't pull this tooth. It's to infected. I go next week to be put to
sleep and have it taken out. I've never done such a thing. I'm on vacation and
sure don't need this. I'm on antibiotics and Motrin. This started on last
Saturday. He said this infection should clear up by next week. I sure hope it
does. I've been in to much pain. I look forward in enjoying thanksgiving
dinner. I hope the food will taste good and that I can eat it. The doctor the
other day told me I had a sinus infection that made this painful tooth
infection. I hope this goes away soon. Take care. Peg Class of 73.
