Hmmmm. Haven’t thought about that Marcia. Thankfully we live in quite a safe
neighborhood. I left the door unlocked overnight, and no incidents. And, the
car is always left unlocked. But then again, we do have an electric gate which
can only be opened if you push a button on the clicker, or controller gadget.
Surgery went great as expected. Now it’s recovery time. Doctor explained that
he opened the little tunnel, hose, I called it, that surrounds the tendons
going to the fingers. He has the incisions in his palm and he has to wear his
bandage for 5 days. He’s complaining his fingers are hot, so we’re in the
process of trying to cool them down. They told him to do the ice down around
the wrist for it is important that the blood going to the incision is cooled to
prevent swelling. The bandage is so thick, you couldn’t cool it just by putting
on ice to the incision area. He wears false teeth, so he’s eaten two meals
per say, of scrambled eggs, so far today. We’ll probably have hotdogs and mac
and cheese for dinner. He’s eaten those without his false teeth before.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.

Subject: [msb-alumni] Surgery for my Husband Duane tomorrow
Hello. Just letting everyone know that tomorrow (Jan. 31) Duane is having his
3rd
surgery in 5 months. The orthopedic doctor will do trigger finger surgery on 3
of
his fingers on his right hand. He has to be at the hospital out-patient surgery
at 6:30 our time which will be 8:30 eastern, and 7:30 central time. So please
pray
all goes well and he will be back home long before noon. I kidded with the
doctor,
saying that this surgery will very likely take longer than 15 minutes. He
smiled
and said “oh you bet.” So, I’ll write again after everything goes well
tomorrow,
probably. He’ll probably sleep a lot when he gets home with his arm well
elevated.
Don’t know if he’ll need occupational therapy or not, since 3 fingers are being
worked
on.

May God bless you now, and evermore!
