Hello Marcia, I’m like you. I still love my braille watch (almost as much as my atomic watch). I also have an atomic clock, another talking clock which is dead right now (due to the lack of good batteries), another talking watch that has the rooster, a talking watch keychain that has no batteries in it right now, a talking bathroom scale that throws insults at you after each weigh in, and a talking indoor-outdoor thermometer. I also have my share of musical clocks throughout the house. Love, love, love my clocks. Peggy and Ginger. Class of 1970. Today's Bible Verse I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference. No more Watches We have two atomic clocks. One in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. We also have a talking timer, as well as a talking indoor outdoor thermometer. There’s also a talking scale, which doesn’t get used as much as it should, and I can’t forget about the talking blood pressure monitor. All that aside, I still love my Braille watch. I also have the iPhone but still like having a watch for several reasons. I like checking the time when I'm out running around and don't want to be taking the phone out every time to do this. Ya never know who's watching and smart phone theft has become a real problem. So when I'm out doing things I have my phone pass code in use. I don't feel quite dressed without a watch. I have a braille clock in the headboard to check the time at night. So yup, still have several time devices around. Radio Shack, who used to be the cheapest talking products for the blind, is no longer selling them. Both talking watches, and talking clocks have been eliminated from Radio shack’s inventory. They claim that a blind person can get this information from their cell phones. that is true, but only those who have the I phone or a smart phone, I should say really. I do use the time and alarm services from my cell phone. But, I also use my talking watch for time. I know I will definitely miss getting talking and inexpensive watches from Radio Shack.
