Assalamu Aleikum,

Shayekh Madani was pretty chill when I attended the event. What I liked
about the event is that it was down to earth in it's advice and criticism,
as well as giving approachable steps to improving. I think he would be
great for a college atmosphere so check him out if you will.

Glad for the feedback. He said he would love to come through to Wayne
State's MSA. I'll keep you in the loop the next time he's available, and
we'll get something set up for Wayne insha'Allah. Just give me a heads up
on what topics you might think are great for the MSA audience there and
what the dynamics are, and which day is best for an MSA halaqa.

Wa Alaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh brother Gibrael,

Jazzaka Allahu Khairan for the reminder. I had seen the first email and
was meaning to respond to it; however, I got distracted with reports and
tests so I had forgotten about it.

In regards to feedback from a student, such a lecture would go very well
in a college atmosphere, or at the very least Wayne State's Muslim
Student Association. What it brought forth is knowledge and practical
advice. What a lot of speakers lack generally is laying out steps for the
audience that would help them achieve the goals of the lecture.

In regards to the lecture specifically and if memory serves me
correctly, Shayekh Madani approached it from an individual's perspective.
as opposed to a role model approach. Many times in lectures we are given
the companions as role models, and while it's good to have that as our
goal, it tends to overlook the struggles and level of the average person.

Lastly, forgive me for falling short in both my response and feedback
and in sha Allah there is some benefit from it.

Assalamualaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh sidi Ayman,

Insha'Allah this reaches you in the best of conditions. My apologies
for the email bombardment. I was just reaching out to you and was wondering
if you had any feedback on Shaykh Ibrahim's lecture that you attended.
Anyone that I've spoken to gave tremendous feedback Alhamdulillah. Anyways,
if you have any thoughts, please do share.
