"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I
will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

.=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=.
We can try to see the life of the spirit as a calm place, shut away from the
turmoil of the world. We can think of our spiritual home as a place full of
peace, serenity and contentment. We can go to this quite, meditative place
for the strength to carry us through today's duties and problems. We can
keep going back there for refreshment when we are wary of the hubbub of the
outside world. From this quietness and communion can come our strength.

I pray that I may keep this resting place where I can commune with God. I
pray that I may find refreshment in meditation on the Eternal God who made
and loves me.

Ann asks prayers for a friend who is in need of a full-time job and health
insurance. Robert asks prayers that he may find a job and overcome his
mental health issues. Tina asks prayers for her aunt whose cancer has
recurred in her lungs, for God's healing power and for blessings on all her
doctors. Dolly asks prayers that her niece would learn to respect her
grandparents.
Pat is sending a prayer in thanksgiving for her brother who had cancer and
is now doing a little better that he continue to improve each day. A mother
asks prayers for her daughter who has medical problems and specials needs,
that we very soon find a doctor who will take time to dig for answers and
treatment as this has been going on for a very long time. Brian shares
prayers of thanksgiving that his friends daughter gave birth to healthy twin
girls, and that mother and children are doing very well. Marilyn asks
prayers for a friend who has numerous medical problems.
We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!
