J O I N M E
A great Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
04-15 November 2007
Now is a great time to sign up! The brochure and full information, including
hotel links, is on-line.
We'll renew our Baptismal Promises at the Jordan River, where Jesus was
Baptized by John. We'll renew our marriage vows and pray for any deceased
husbands and wives at Cana in Galilee where Jesus attended a wedding with
his Mother and turned water into wine. We'll take a boat ride on the Sea of
Galilee. We'll even have a chance to visit Masada and to swim in the Dead
Sea. We'll visit the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem too, and see the Dead Sea
Scrolls. You'll never read Scripture in the same way after this wonderful
Pilgrimage! Follow the link from: www.frpat.com

"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." ~James 4:8

Many things can upset us and we can easily get off the track. We can
remember that God is near us all the time, ready to help us if we call on
God. We cannot forever stand against God's will for us, nor can we forever
upset God's plan for our lives, even though God's plan may be postponed by
our willfulness and deliberate choice to do wrong. A whole world of men and
women cannot permanently change God's laws or God's purpose for the
universe. The sea of life may look very rough to us, but we can believe
that our Captain steers the boat on a straight course.

I pray that I may try to steer a straight course. I pray that I may accept
God's direction in my life's journey.

Pauline asks prayers that her daughter finds good employment with benefits,
prayers for Thursday's interview. Gwendolyn asks prayers for a special
intention. Mary Ann asks for prayers for the safety of someone who is
serving in the Air Force in the area of Iraq.

Tom and Dee ask prayers for a special intention. Nancy from PA requests
prayers for those serving in our armed forces that they may be safe and
protected from harm's way and that all Americans appreciate more the
sacrifices these brave men and women are making, even dying, to insure our
freedoms. A member asks prayers for negative cancer results on bone marrow
tests of a friend.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!

Father Pat

"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10
