       Changed Itinerary
We'll visit Southern Italy, Assisi, Rome and the Vatican from 10-22 November
2008. A new itinerary adds one day to the trip and gives us an extra night
and part of a day in Sorrento. It also allows us to visit Monte Casino (St.
Benedict) and gives us a full free day in Rome. The new itinerary will be
online as soon as it is approved and priced.

Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to
rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and
began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
~Acts 2:1-11

As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body,
though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all
baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and
we were all given to drink of one Spirit. ~1 Corinthians 12:3b-7, 12-13

Jesus said to them again, ~John 20:19-23

Jesus disciples had locked themselves away out of fear of the Jews. Jesus
appeared to them and gave them their mission: "Peace be with you. As the
Father has sent me, so I send you." And when he had said this, he breathed
on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive
are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained." On this, the
Solemnity of Pentecost, the Church was born. We are called to see our
oneness with all people, the fact that we are brothers and sisters to one
another. As we accept the gifts of others, we're called to offer our own
gifts and talents for the building of the Kingdom of God.

I pray that I may not be afraid, but speak the name of Jesus freely. I pray
that I may offer my gifts and talents for the benefit of all and work toward
the building up of the Body of Christ!

Sherry requests prayers for someone who is struggling with AP and senior
exams. A member requests prayers for himself who is recovering from a skin
infection, for continued healing and relief of pain. Tom & Val ask prayers
for sale of their home in NJ. Mark asks for prayers for a 6 month old little
girl who is having medical tests done.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!

Newly written each day by Father Pat Umberger. Morning Prayer may not be
published by others, but is a good resource for preachers and those who attend
Daily Mass, and those who would like to keep up with the Lectionary Readings
and are not always able to attend Daily Mass.
