A great Pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
04-15 November 2007
Now is a great time to sign up! The brochure and full information, including
hotel links, is on-line.
We'll renew our Baptismal Promises at the Jordan River, where Jesus was
Baptized by John. We'll renew our marriage vows and pray for any deceased
husbands and wives at Cana in Galilee where Jesus attended a wedding with
his Mother and turned water into wine. We'll take a boat ride on the Sea of
Galilee. We'll even have a chance to visit Masada and to swim in the Dead
Sea. We'll visit the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem too, and see the Dead Sea
Scrolls. You'll never read Scripture in the same way after this wonderful

"Jesus said to them, "Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and
rest a while." For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even
to eat. And they went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves."

.=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=.
We can be constantly recharged by the power of the spirit of God. We can
commune with God in quiet times until the life from God, by that very
contact, flows into our being and revives our fainting spirit. When weary,
we can take time out and rest. We can rest and gain power and strength from
God, and then we can be ready to meet whatever opportunities come our way.
We can rest until every care and worry and fear have gone, and then the tide
of peace and serenity, love and joy, can flow into our consciousness.

I pray that I may rest and become recharged. I pray that I may pause and
wait for the renewing of my strength.

Amy asks prayers for a dear friend whose husband passed away. Monique
request prayers so she can find peace in her husband's death. Cherie asks
prayers for her daughters going to Regional Meet for Acrobatic Gymnastics
that they both have a wonderful performance. Member Dan asks for prayers for
his sister who has a tumor in her uterus.
Marilyn asks prayers for a special intention. Amy asks prayers for a special
intention. Chris asks prayers that her surgery on Monday is successful.
Marie gives and requests prayers of thanksgiving for God's special grace in
granting her successful negative medical follow-up tests.
We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!
