The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying: ?Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is the he who comes in the name of the Lord; hosanna in the highest.? ~ Matthew 21:1-11 Immediately one of them ran to get a sponge; he soaked it in wine, and putting it on a reed, gave it to him to drink. But the rest said, ?Wait, let us see if Elijah comes to save him.? But Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, and gave up his Spirit. ~ Matthew 26:14?27:66 Scriptures: http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/ .=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=. As we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday, we can enter into these Holy days with all our hearts. We can appreciate more than ever that Jesus shared all human emotions and stands beside us in times of pain, suffering, abandonment and loneliness. We can be touched anew by the God who loved us so much that he gave us his ony Son who was crucified for our sins, who brought us eternal life, unity, healing and peace. .=: P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y :=. I pray that I may know that I will never be alone in the disappointments and challenges of life. I pray that I may be strengthened by Jesus' supreme gift of himself, and for a willingness to put my own life on the line to bring safety and ife to those around me. .=: W E P R A Y :=. We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a good day! May God Bless you and those you love, and keep you safe!
