Saint Agnes (died 258?)
Legend has it she was a beautiful girl whom many young men wanted to marry.
Among those she refused, one reported her to the authorities as being a
Christian. For more about St. Agnes, follow the link below ...

Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission than the fat of rams. ~1
Samuel 15:16-23

Jesus answered them, "Can the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is
with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast.
But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then
they will fast on that day. ~Mark 2:18-22

It can be tempting to criticize others to deflect attention from ourselves.
We can try to make ourselves superior by "looking like" we're following the
right way. But the love of God is not in us unless were obedient to God out
of love for Him and others.

I pray that I can be obedient to God. I pray that I may live a life of
love, following God's call wherever it leads me.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!

All the best and God Bless,

Father Pat
