Blessed Peter Gonzalez (d. 1246) St. Paul had a conversion experience on the road to Damascus. When they heard this, they stopped objecting and glorified God, saying, "God has then granted life-giving repentance to the Gentiles too." ~Acts 11:1-18 I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd. ~John 10:11-18 Scriptures: http://www.nccbuscc.org/nab/ .=: M E D I T A T I O N F O R T H E D A Y :=. Paul is confronted with and has come to believe that the Resurrection of Jesus was not just for "insiders," but for the Gentiles as well. Jesus as our Good Shepherd says exactly the same thing. "I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd." .=: P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y :=. I pray that I may not close my mind to those who seem different from me. I pray that I may confront the error of my thinking and begin to reach out to the "Gentiles" of my time. I pray that I may be a good helper to the Good Shepherd by extending the invitation of faith to everybody. .=: W E P R A Y :=.
