G O I N G T O B O S T O N
I'll be in Boston from 08-12 September for medical tests. My eye cancer was
treated at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary ten years ago and I go back
for annual checkups. In my absence Margie, our Pastoral Minister, will send
Morning Prayer. Individual intentions will not appear during that time
because prayers will be prepared in advance. Let's pray for one another's
intentions during that time. I'll remember you and your intentions as I
visit the many Churches of Boston!

This weekend we blessed everybody going back to School ... from kids to
teachers, college and technical school students and teachers,
administrators, lunch room workers, clerical staff, bus drivers, aides ...
everybody. Pictures are at the Web Site. Let's keep our young people in
our prayers and ask God's blessing on this new School Year. For the

Our School starts on September 5th. This coming weekend we'll bless all
students, teachers, bus drivers, administrators, custodians, lunch room
workers, aides, university presidents, etc. Visit the Web Site for a parish
blessing and also an individual blessing parents can pray with their
children on the first day of school, and every day if they wish. I also

We need not become encumbered by petty annoyances. We need not respond to
emotional upsets by emotional upset. It is best for us to keep calm in all
circumstances. We need not fight back. We can call on the grace of God to
calm us when we feel like retaliating. We can look to God for the inner
strength to drop those resentments that drag us down. If we are burdened by
annoyances, we can lose our inward peace and the spirit of God can be shut
out. We can try to keep peaceful within.

I pray that I may do the things that make for peace. I pray that I may have
a mission of conciliation.

Marge requests prayers for two NY State Troopers critically injured in an
ambush. Miriam requests prayers for her oldest daughter who has turned her
back on the faith. A member requests prayers for her child to receive a good
MCAT score and acceptance into medical school.
We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!
