Somebody want's to give you money?

Most of us have received e-mails, mostly from Nigeria or another African
Country. They come from various relatives of someone who died with a lot of
money, who wants to get money out of the country and give some to you, who
wants to give to charity, who is dying of an incurable disease and wants to
do something nice for you. They most often ask for your phone number,
e-mail address and other information. Then they'll contact you and want to
send a check, or transfer the money directly into your bank account. Of
course they'll need account numbers. It's a SCAM every time. Somebody
actually sent me a check for four thousand dollars this year. I was
supposed to wire $2000 to someone in Florida and keep the rest. Needless to
say the account didn't exist and the check would have bounced, after I'd
sent money on. The best tip . don't respond!

"Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and
slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as
Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and
sacrifice to God." ~Ephesians 4:31-5:2

We cannot believe in God and keep our selfish ways. When we believe more
strongly in God, we begin to abandon our selfish ways. The old self can
shrivel up and die, and God's image can become much clearer. The gradual
elimination of selfishness in the growth of love for God and our fellow
human beings is a wonderful goal in our lives. As the picture grows, we can
reveal more and more of the likeness of God until those who see us can see
in us the power of God's grace at work in a human life.

I pray that I may grow in my likeness to God. I pray that others may see in
me some of the power of God's grace at work.

Kathy prays for her mother who just found out she has cancer. For Kristin
and her husband who are struggling with infertility, that God may bless them
with a child of their own. Kerri asks prayers for several intentions. A
mother asks prayers for her son to make a faith filled decision.

A member asks prayers for a woman whose children have asthma. Ann requests
prayers for her marriage that it may survive turbulent times. Bonnie asks
prayers for her brother who had heart surgery on 01 June. Helen-Ann asks
prayers for success at a track meet in Jamaica.

We pray for unity in our country and that we may build a Culture of Life. We
pray for the safety of our troops, their safe return and their families at
home. We pray for a deep and profound respect for life, and for the courage
and willingness to stand up for life. We pray for one another, for those who
have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most. Have a
good day!
