I became Facebook friends with another mom in 2009 when both of our kids
were in (and both left). We are on opposite sides of the country and can't
visit, but consider each other friends now.

convert, by taking a chance and emailing her privately. We helped each
other out/commiserated while our children were in the church and after they
left, are still in regular contact. We have met in person a few times. I
consider her a very good friend and feel lucky to have found her. I took a
chance and it was was a great decision. One just never knows.
