Hubert I've never had confidence to do any screw cutting on the lathes. I 
looked at the change wheels on the ML7 then put them away again. The largest 
thread I use is 1/2" Whitworth for the brakes on the engines, I cut these at 
slow speed on the Colchester with a die.
