Looking at the major dealers websites, and it seems that completed models 
sell very quickly and often at much higher prices than they were just a few 
years ago.
I suspect that, for many, running models is the main interest, rather than 
building them.

Even so, there must be collections that never see the light of day, which is 
a pity.

Even more sad is the number of models that must have been scrapped over the 
years.

If you look at the ads at the back of the model eng mags there are now more
and more private ads for guys wanting to buy complete or partbuilt models.
