Hmmmm ....Too Old.....

To old is when you no longer have the drive or physical strength to do
something any more..... :-) Does that sound right?
Therefore it is dependant entirely upon the person under scrutiny...... :-)
I have seen many "older" gents build 7.25" gauge loco's, only to get away
from them before too long (10 - 15 years) as they "feel" it's getting to big
for them.... A lame excuse in my books.... :-) I have also seen similar
with steam launches..... The gents are in their 70's and "feel" that it's a
lot of work putting a 18 - 26' boat in the water and then getting it out
again at the end of the day..... So the launch tends to sit at home and get
very little use.....

Personally I think that a lot of "too old", is in the mind of the beholder.
I know that one day I will get too old (physically frail and weak) to be
able to do the things I love doing now..... But I intend that to be when I
get to 90 something....... :-) and I'll have my kids trained up to help....
:-) and I will have to make things that I am physically able to make and
use. I don't think i will be building 7.25" gauge at that age, unless it's a
"Rocket" or "Juliet"....

Does that answer your question Kenny? :-) After all..... I'm just a young
whipper snapper of 44.

Cheers,

Phill.
