Hi Rich

I know of at least one professional boiler maker who uses leaded bronze for 
his bushes.  I was very surprised when I discovered this, but he assured me 
it is common practice and causes no trouble.  Perhaps you just have to be 
careful not to overheat it and boil the lead content off.
