DO try it Alan! In another email, Cliff mntioned that on a Myford it digs in, except when used in a back toolpost. I can't speak for Myfords (to my lasting sorrow, I sold a precious Super 7 years ago), but it worked fine on my previous Emco 10 lathe. I have no problem at all on my present Hardinge, but this is a heavier lathe. Cheers!
