There is also a Sam Browne book which i think was written about the period that 
you talk about

I also have the Ian Bradley book and the Emanuels Stieri which give lots of 
info as well as the Errol Groff CD which he has produced and is very helpfull 
for all machining needs

The Yahoo.com web sites i have found very usefull for information about lots of 
subjects including Shapers and planers.
