Just had a thought on this... from what I've seen of available paddle launch
design I'm reckoning that I weigh a LOT more than the water being lifted by a
fixed paddle... would it really be that big an issue? That said it doesn't
look that complicated to use it if I can find some already dimensioned
(roughly) drawings to use.... how much eccentric to give the feathering heel
etc (in terms of a fraction of the paddlewheel diameter I expect....)
